Answer first
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 is a time-only watch. Current reference: 126000. Rolex introduced it in 2020. Case diameter: 36 mm. Movement: calibre 3230, automatic winding, 70-hour power reserve. Water resistance: 100 m. Case, bezel and bracelet: Oystersteel. Crystal: sapphire. Retail price is set by Rolex and changes over time. In the US market it has sat in the low- to mid-$6,000 range in recent years. Confirm the current figure with an authorized retailer.
Where the 36 sits in the line
Rolex sells the Oyster Perpetual in five case sizes: 28 mm, 31 mm, 34 mm, 36 mm and 41 mm. The 36 mm case has run since the ref. 116000, which used calibre 3130. Reference 126000 replaced it in 2020 and brought the newer movement.

Dials
The 2020 launch included silver, black, blue, turquoise, yellow, coral red and green. Rolex has added and removed colors since then. Dial color moves second-hand prices more than any other spec on this reference. Some colors trade above retail; others trade near it.
Points to check on any single watch
Serial and reference numbers sit between the lugs at 12 o'clock and on the inner flange at 6 o'clock. A full set includes the warranty card, which carries the date of purchase and the retailer name. Service records come from Rolex or an authorized service center. Rolex does not publish a public serial database, so buyers rely on the card, the retailer and a service check.
What the numbers do not tell you
Case thickness and weight vary by dial and bracelet fit, and Rolex does not list either figure. Ask the seller for caliper readings if that matters to you.
