Short answer
Omega's published catalogs and reference guides list no Speedmaster with the reference 63130. Speedmaster references follow set patterns, such as 105.012, 145.022, 3570.50, and 311.30.42.30.01.005. A listing that labels a Speedmaster "63130" is mislabeled, mistyped, or counterfeit.
What 63130 points to in listings
- A seller's own stock code or marketplace item number.
- A part number copied from a bracelet or case invoice.
- A stamped number on a counterfeit caseback.
Ask the seller for two photos: the inner caseback and the movement bridge. Genuine Speedmaster cases carry a case reference plus a seven- to nine-digit serial in those spots.

How real Speedmaster references are built
Vintage references use a case code, a dot, a model code, and a dash with the production year: 145.012-67. Modern references use eleven digits in five groups: 311.30.42.30.01.005. The groups cover case family and material, case diameter in millimeters, movement, dial variant, and strap or bracelet.

Inspection points that do not need the reference
- Movement. Genuine mechanical Speedmasters run calibres 321, 861, 1861, or 3861. Counterfeits often use a Seagull ST19, a Miyota 6S20, or a quartz module.
- Sub-dials. On calibre 1861 and 3861 watches the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock counters sit close to the center. Many fakes push them to the outer edge.
- Pushers. The 2 o'clock pusher starts and stops the chronograph. The 4 o'clock pusher resets it.
- Crystal. Most Moonwatch references use hesalite. Sapphire appears on the sapphire-crystal versions. A plastic dome sold as sapphire is a mismatch.
- Stamps. Caseback engraving on genuine watches is deep and crisp. Fake stamps look shallow or soft.
- Serial match. On vintage Speedmasters the caseback serial and the movement serial should match.
- Hands. Check hand length and the step on the chronograph seconds hand against catalog photos.
Paperwork and price signals
Genuine Speedmasters ship with a pictograms card and a warranty card. METAS-certified models also include a Master Chronometer certificate. A watch sold with no cards and a "63130" tag carries risk. Steel Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch examples sell in the four-figure range on the used market. A running mechanical chronograph at a few hundred dollars is not a genuine Omega.
Verification steps
Take a suspect watch to an Omega-authorized service center or a watchmaker with a timing machine. Request a movement photo and a caseback photo before you buy. Counterfeit watch sales violate U.S. trademark law, and CBP seizes such shipments at the border. Report fake listings to the marketplace and to the brand's legal contact.
