There is no Rolex 16666. Rolex never built one. When a listing uses that number, the seller is describing a Sea-Dweller 16600 case with a 16660 dial, or they typed the digits wrong. So the real comparison is between a replica and the two watches it copies: the 16660, made from 1978 to 1989, and the 16600, built from 1989 to 2008.

If you are buying one, get a 16600 style build from a top tier factory with a Swiss ETA 2824 or a Sellita SW200 inside. Skip anything with a decorated Chinese "3135" unless the seller will show you a timing graph. The 16600 dial is the easier one to copy. Fewer colors, no red depth text, no tritium. A good replica of it lands within a few tenths of a millimeter of the original in every dimension I have measured.
